Funding for a Cause – Montana Adaptive Aquatic Program
Our First Fundraiser is Here in Billings!
The Montana Adaptive Aquatic Program(MAAP) was created to assist those with disabilities to not only better enjoy the aquatic world but more so, to expand their physical and mental states allowing them to more fully enjoy life.
Family Fun Scuba & Snorkel will be hosting our first fundraising event at the Yellowstone Valley Brewing Company located at 2123 B 1st Ave N. Billings, Montana. The event will be held Wednesday January 28th from 6-8pm. It will be a Hawaiian/Caribbean theme so bring your hula skirts and Hawaiian shirts! There will be a number of fun activities, refreshments, silent auction, 50/50 raffle and other events.
The events will be supporting 2 non-profit organizations. The first non-profit organization is, The Montana Veterans Aquatic Alliance (MVAA). We must remember that because of the men and women of the United States Armed Services we have freedom which we too often take for granted.
After our troops return home, new battles await for them. They include haunting memories of combat, stress, loneliness, isolation, injuries, loss, divorce and more. Because of these tragedies, veterans are reintroduced to a world that has become foreign to them and find it hard to “find balance” in society.TheMontana Veterans Aquatic Alliance wants to be there to support them. If you would like more information on the programs that will be available, please contact us.
The second program that we are supporting is the Montana Adapive Aquatics Program (MAAP).
The non-profit entity, The Montana Adaptive Aquatic Program (MAAP) was created to assist those with disabilities to not only better enjoy the aquatic world but more so, to expand their physical and mental states allowing them to more fully enjoy life.
Just a few of the programs that we will be providing include:
1) Aqua Freedom and Movement (aquatic therapy)
